27 September, 2012 : Toyota India has today unveiled the limited edition model of Toyota Innova Aero in the country. Priced at 12.25 Lakh and 12.30 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) there are just 1200 exclusive Innova Aero units for sale till December 2012. As a part of festive offering, the GX trim based ‘Innova Aero’ now bestows more sporty and aerodynamic appearance with its Aero Kit, which comprise of dual tone front and rear bumper spoiler, sleek roof spoiler and Aero badge at rear along with side skirts. Offered in two unique shades of Super White and Silver Mica Metallic, the special edition Toyota Innova will be available at all company outlets across the country. The hike in Innova price is due to the upward trend of input costs along with downward trend in value of rupee. Innova has been getting threats from its new counterpart in the segment, Maruti Ertiga which is priced extremely low as compared to the MPV. Mahindra Xylo too costs less then Innova; therefore it remains to be seen if this slight hike will affect sales of Innova or would it stay intact.
