Jaguar F Type sports car unveiled
The just round the corner motor event – Paris Motor will be the home for many new cars and most significant among them will be the Jaguar F Type. In order to create a sensation, Tata and its subsidiary Jaguar have unveiled the convertible F Type Jaguar car. The C X16 concept based car typically has sports car veins and will be a junior to the Jaguar XKR-S. This means that the F Type will be now the entry level sports car by Jaguar and this will be beneficial for the car maker as an affordable offering will be highly welcome by the adrenaline crazy.
The F Type will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show starting Sep 29 and will steal the show at the Jaguar Land Rover tent. It is believed that the new sports car by Jaguar will find it coupe variant sometime next year and as auto industry experts believe that the F Type Coupe will be an instant hit. An India launch of the F Type is slated sometime next year but in the absence of roads and other infrastructure it will remain a showpiece just as the Ferrari and other sports cars in India are. Based on a monocoque design philosophy, the new Jaguar car promises action, action and only action while keeping the occupants safe in a cocoon. Weighing only 1.6 ton, there is greater use of aluminum and weight reducing stuff besides high rigidity steel to reinforce the body.
The F Type is a typical Jaguar car and it will have a 3 L six valve 340 bhp, 450 Nm engine mated to an 8 sped automatic transmission. For those power crazy, there will be a 5 L 495 bhp avatar as well to satisfy their thirst for speed. As per the information, the car sprints to 100 kmph in just 4.2 seconds and has a top speed limited to 300 kmph. In addition to this, the car has lots of safety and other features to make the most happening car among sports cars.
