Tata Nexon EV Launched With The Price Tag of Rs. 13.99 Lakh

Domestic carmaker Tata Motors has finally added one more vehicle in the fleet of its electric vehicles. The carmaker today launched its highly awaited compact SUV Nexon EV in the Indian car market with a starting price of Rs. 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom, price in India). It is offered in three variants XM. ZX+ and XZ+. The EV Nexon is developed on the new Ziptron technology. The top variant is priced Rs. 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom, price in India).

Under the hood, it is empowered with liquid-cooled and IP 67 certified Lithium-Ion battery embedded with permanent magnet AC motor. Thus ensuring battery to be protected from water and dust. The 30.2 kWh battery offered an average of 312 km on a single charge. It generates the torque of 245 Nm and capable of touching the mark of 100 kmph in 9.9 seconds. With the help of a fast charger, it can be charged up to 80 percent in sixty minutes and 8 hours while using the regular home charger. Once charged 50% of its actual efficiency, it can be driven up to 150 km. The battery installed in EV Nexon is embellished with Battery Management System (BMS), which is helpful in extending its life up to eight years without and deficiency in its performance. It is also equipped with a cooling circuit to keep the engine cool even in the extremely hot weather.
 
Speaking about the features adorned in Nexon EV, it includes keyless entry, automatic climate control, power windows for both front and rear passengers, connected car app, and an electronic tailgate. The top-end variants are equipped with a seven-inch dashtop Harman touchscreen infotainment system with four speakers and tweeters, voice command, video playback, voice command and a few more. It also gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel with a rear parking camera and reverse parking assist system.
